Question about joining sky from a rented flat

Hi,

I'm considering to subscribe to some packets but I don't know if I will be able to.
I'm renting a flat and I'm not sure if I have a parabolic antenna connection or if it is possible to mount a new one.

Are this kind of things checked by a Sky technician?
I live in Berlin, is Sky an "English friendly" company?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Betreff: Question about joining sky from a rented flat

What do you mean with "is Sky an english friendly Company". You might even have problems when you call their

hotline to get an english speaken person.

Generally you can receive Sky via Parabolic Antenna, via cable connection or via internet.

You should contact you house owner if they have a common Parabolic Antenna installed or if you have cable

connections in your flat. In this case you will get the according hardware from Sky, when ordering their programme.

Otherwise you cant contact your internet provider in order to receive the "normal" televison from them. By this

way you can normally also order Sky packages via this provider - from Telekom for example.

You see, it depends on the way in which you will receive televison in your flat.

Thanks for your answer. This is really helpful.

By "English friendly" I mean that they are not going to hang the call if I don't speak a perfect German.

Unfortunatelly I don't think is possible to stream 4k trough an internet connection, this is why I was more interested in teh antenna solution

Sometimes the poeple on the hotline hang the call, even if your German is perfect. They are often not very

professional or friendly. Instead of helping the customers they only want to sell additional packages.

And in case you need technical service at home from sky, you mostly have to pay in addition for this service.

By the way, I myself stream Netflix content through my Telekom connection perfectly in 4 K HDR quality.

Generally this should be no problem in case you have a quick connection available.
